About Blender & Basil

Blender & Basil: A Culinary Adventure by Gilda and Emily

Back in the bustling streets of London, two passionate food enthusiasts, Gilda and Emily, embarked on a culinary journey that gave birth to Blender & Basil. It all started as a collaboration between two souls deeply rooted in the rich roots of Italian and Chinese cuisines.

Our Culinary Fusion: Where East Meets West

In the heart of our recipes lies a delicious blend of flavours, combining the aromatic simplicity of Italy with the bold and diverse palette of China. At Blender & Basil, you’ll find a variety of dishes that reflect our cultural diversity and culinary expertise, while we create a home away from home.

Featured in the Spotlight

Our journey has been blessed with moments of culinary stardom. We’ve been featured in the Evening Standard (courtesy of Sainsbury’s World Foods) and we’ve rubbed shoulders with the legendary Ken Hom in a fun interview. These experiences have only fuelled our passion for bringing you the finest in food inspiration.

Beyond Borders: Our Global Culinary Presence

As life unfolded, Emily ventured into new life projects, but fear not! You can still savour her incredible recipes. Meanwhile, Gilda took flight to Asia, where the spice of life became an integral part of our culinary narrative. First in Singapore and now in Ho Chi Minh City…from here we made it to the pages of the New York Times, where our Picos recipe made waves in an article about Spanish aperitivo.

From Our Kitchen to Yours

Gilda continues to weave magic in the kitchen, expertly styling, photographing, and sharing our culinary creations with you. We’re a food blog, but as we move around we created a community of flavour enthusiasts, and we’re thrilled to be connecting with food lovers in Ho Chi Minh City and beyond.

Let’s Cook Together!

Blender & Basil is an invitation to explore, create, and connect with a global community of food enthusiasts, generate new traditions and create a home away from home. Reach out to us for collaborations and let’s share our culinary adventures!

  1. Hi there,
My partner and I own a growing chocolate shop and concept store in Taiwan and we are looking to move to London. I think a piece on this would work well with your blog. Please let’s discuss something soon.

    Regards,

    Ike
